Hinduism says that the world has to pass through four dyugs or ages to transform from a complete pure state to a complete impure state, of which the final one is Kali Yuga or the Dark Age. So at the end of this age, where the world in an utter chaos condition, totally impure, violence and evil everywhere, an avatar, Kalki Avatar, will come to establish righteousness upon the earth and the minds of the people.
Buddhism says that the teachings of Buddha will disappear after 5000 years since the time of its founding (ca. 563BC to 483 BC). The people will switch over from the "ten moral courses of conduct" to the "ten amoral courses of conduct". At this juncture, Buddhism wll get declined as there will be no one to follow it; and re-establishment will be done by the rebirth of Maitreya, the new Buddha, to renew the teachings and Dharma so as to rediscover the path to Nirvana.
Zoroastrianism says that "at the end of the tenth hundredth winter...the sun is no more unseen and more spotted; the year, month, and day are shorter; and the earth is more barren; and the crop will not yield the seed; and men...become more deceitful and more given to vile practices." At this time, three saviors will arise, fight against the evil and the imperfect world and men will be washed away by the flow of hot metal and be made purified.
These are few examples to say that every religion points towards the current period to say that the world is going to end soon. A good spirit will rise up and will destroy the evil forces. Everyone knows how the world is going to face its end in accordance with the writings of the three Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islamism).
Besides, the tsunamis, earthquakes, famines, wars, signs, state of the people, evil deeds, climatic conditions, environmental hazards, and so on, all show that this world will not stand longer. Though we are much aware of this, yet we answer ourselves that these are all myths. But few analyses surprised me to learn that how everything points exactly towards the "End!" Let us have a closer watch on the things that are happening around us to see the signs of the end of this world and make ourselves prepared to meet the so-called "Dooms day".
